Ben Dyer Associates, Inc. a Civil Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm has an immediate opening for an entry level Survey Rodman. This position is based out of our Mitchellville (Bowie) Maryland office.  The successful candidate will gain experience in all aspects of the survey profession. Candidate should like working outdoors with tolerance to heat and cold, be able to climb hills, and carry at least 40 pounds. Our work is local and does not require overnight travel. Candidates should be able to follow directions, have good verbal and written communication skills, good people skills, a desire to learn, have a strong work ethic, teamwork mindset, and love for the outdoors.

This position requires essential duties and responsibilities to:

• Ensure the safety of all crew members, clients, & the public.
• Ensure that all equipment needed is loaded and ready to use.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained.
• Maintain adequate supplies in the truck.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and organized.
• Carry survey supplies during the collection of necessary survey data.
• Place stakes at designated points and drive them into the ground at specified elevation, using hammer or hatchet.
• Cut and clear brush and trees for data collection, using brush hook, machete, ax, or other cutting tools.
• Timely and regular attendance is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to the Company insurance provider and must provide their own reliable transportation to travel to and from the office and work sites.
