Stephen G. Mauersberg

President

Mr. Mauersberg is the President of the firm. In this position, he brings over 35 years of experience in land development projects. Since joining Ben Dyer Associates, Inc. in 1986, Mr. Mauersberg has held the positions of Civil Engineer, Section Head, Project Manager, and Vice President. As the President for Ben Dyer Associates, he is responsible for the day to day and long term direction of the company. Given his hands-on management style and his direct involvement with the approval process, Mr. Mauersberg understands the land development process. He is experienced with all phases of the design process, including site planning, storm drainage and stormwater management, sewer and water design and sediment and erosion control. He is also responsible for quality control/plan coordination reviews and project specification preparation and review. This position also requires direct contact and communication with staff, clients, and governmental agencies.

Prior to joining Ben Dyer Associates, Steve was a design engineer with H. F. Scott Engineering, Inc. in Pennsylvania. In his three years with this firm, his responsibilities included the design and permitting of surface mines, underground mines, material processing facilities, and involvement in natural gas well siting and permitting.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering Technology from Fairmont State College, West Virginia. He serves as a Director of the Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA)-Development Guarantee Group of Suburban Maryland, and is a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
